The North Rose Lions Club will sponsor the 10th Annual 3-Town Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7th. This unusual parade “comes to you”. The parade will consist of festive Floats, Fire Trucks, and School Buses all decorated with sparkling lights and holiday music. Rose Supervisor Scott Converse asked Dic Lasher to do a Christmas parade for the Hamlet of Rose which developed into a 2-Hamlet and 1-Town Parade. It became such a hit that the locals plan their Christmas parties on that night to share with family and friends. lt’s such a delight to see so many come out of their houses to see the parade, which will begin at the Rose Highway Barn at 5pm and will proceed around the Hamlet of Rose. Then it will proceed to and go around the Hamlet of North Rose. The parade will stop at Marshal Park so that the float riders can ride the buses to Wolcott. (a chance to get warm).
On Wilson Road, prior to entering the Village of Wolcott, the float riders will get back on the floats which will then proceed down New Hartford Street to the Village Park to coincide with the Christmas Tree Lighting. The parade will then proceed around the Village and end at the Wolcott Fire Hall for Cookies and Hot Chocolate, and a visit with Santa. The Parade Route will be added to local town websites.
