State Police out of Wolcott became very familiar with the name Timothy Capron on Thursday (3/10).

It all began when police received a report of an intoxicated driver on Hogback Road in the Town of Butler on Thursday (3/10) at 6:17 a.m. The driver, Capron, age 35, of Route 26 in Eaton, NY was subsequently arrested for DWI/BAC and Aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol level of .21% and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

Capron was released on appearance tickets for Butler Town Court on April 20th.

At 1:37 p.m., still drunk, Capron went to his brother’s residence on Ridge Road in Wolcott and was told he was not wanted there. Capron then phoned a neighbor of his brother in Wolcott and began swearing and threatening the man. Troopers were called, and, in their presence, Capron again called and continued his tirade. He was subsequently picked up and charged with Aggravated Harassment in the 2nd Degree and released on an appearance ticket for Wolcott Court on April 7th.

A Trooper out of Wolcott was conducting a stationary radar check on Route 104 in the Town of Sterling when a vehicle sped by doing 23 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.

The vehicle was stopped just after 2 p.m. on Thursday and police discovered Capron was the driver. He was again charged with DWI/BAC with a blood alcohol level of .15%. His car was towed from the scene and Capron was arraigned in Town of Sterling Court and released to reappear in Court on April 13th.
