| The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff is investigating a one car fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Town of Lyons.
On August 20th, 2016 at 6:20pm deputies responded to N. Canal Street for a report of a one car rollover accident. Upon investigation it was determined that Tyrone L. Hutchinson, age 44 of Montezuma Street was traveling southbound on N. Canal Street in a 2004 Kia Amanti. Hutchinson failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the east shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree. Hutchinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team responded and an investigation is ongoing with a determination of the cause of the accident to be made at a later date and time. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Town of Lyons Fire Department, Lyons Ambulace and Newark Ambulance. |
