On Thursday November 10, 2016 at 7:22 PM The Macedon Police Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian near the intersection of State Route 31 and Alderman Road in the Town of Macedon.
Upon arrival, Officers and First Responders did locate a pedestrian in the roadway with serious life threatening injuries. The pedestrian, Wayne Grevell, age 25 of Palmyra NY, was taken to Newark Wayne Hospital by the Macedon Town Ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries. Initial investigation along with witness statements shows that Grevell had been walking in the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the accident.
Accident Reconstruction was completed by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department. The Macedon Police Department was assisted by the Palmyra Police Department, South Macedon Fire Department, Macedon Center Fire Department, and the Macedon Town Ambulance. The accident is currently under investigation.
