The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports the arrest of a Wolcott man Christmas Day (12/25) at (10:30 a.m.) after an investigation of a larceny from a residence.
Deputies charged Fayer Perez, age 22 of 5015 State Route 89 in Wolcott, with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.
The charges stem from a report of a man allegedly attempting to get into a residence. While on scene investigating this incident, an additional complaint was given to deputies on scene by 911 of a person matching the same description allegedly stealing a tractor. The tractor got stuck in the mud so it is alleged that Mr. Perez then stole a truck from yet a different residence, all within the Town of Butler.
State Police spotted the vehicle on Whiskey Hill Road in the Town of Butler and conducted a traffic stop.
State Police charged Perez with Driving While Intoxicated, with a blood alcohol level of .14%, Failure to Keep Right, Moving From Lane Unsafely, Unlicensed Operator and other vehicle and traffic violations. He was issued appearance tickets for Butler Court for January 2, 2019.
Perez was then turned over to the Sheriff’s for their charges, arraigned in the Town of Huron Court where he was remanded to the Wayne County Jail on $2,000 cash bail to return to court at a later date.
