State Police Investigators out of Canandaigua, along with the State Police Computer Crimes Division, reported the arrest on Tuesday (2/7) of Micheal D. Prestidge, age 57, of 3276 Fairway 6 in Macedon (Gananda Development).
The Computer Crimes Division out of Canandaigua reported to the Bureau of Criminal Investigations that they had been monitoring peer to peer child pornography websites and discovered Prestidge had been trading child pornography pictures with other individuals.
On December 27th, armed with a search warrant, the computers at Prestidge’s residence were seized.
Prestidge was charged with Promoting Obscene Sexual Performance of a Child under the age of 17. He was arraigned in Macedon Court and released to reappear in Justice Thomas Crowley’s Court on February 28th.
