Joseph De Santo, 75, died Tuesday (March 8, 2016) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
From 2000 to 2008, Joe was the Town of Arcadia Supervisor and currently served as a Councilperson on the Town Board. He had served on the Newark Board of Education for six years, until 2014 and received an award Friend of Education by the Newark School District. He also served on the Board of Directors of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, the Wayne ARC Board, Board of Wayne CAP and the Cornell Extention Service.
For over 30 years, Joe was a project superintendent for the Pike Construction Company. He was a communicant of St. Michael Church. Joe believed in giving back to his community. He had coached Newark Little League Baseball and Vince Lombardi Football for many years.
